Whether you are more of a beach person so you can sink your toes in the sand or you love colder destinations and want to go skiing. I have a place for everyone even those who have kids like myself.
*Please note I will update with every new adventure I discover.
East Coast Vacations:
If you are on the East Coast or are visiting the east coast and love the beach and great food Oak Island, NC is the place to go. There are tons of great houses to stay in and I've stayed at a few. This is also a great destination to get married on or off the beach or at a venue. The greatest joy was being able to plan my own wedding here and getting two beach houses for guests and for myself and new husband. It was a magical time. Restaurants are like no other and perk are usually small businesses owned by the sweetest families, so supporting them during after such a rough couple of years is definitely appreciated. My top 3 Restaurants in Oak Island are: Island Way is an upscale-casual beach front restaurant with the most amazing food and great view. My first time going there I was in awe of the view from my table as well as the great food. My second is Lazy Turtle Bar & Grill I love this one because it is a casual restaurant right on the beach so if you want to hangout to play games like corn hole while having a drink or taking a quick lunch break this is a convenient spot for you to enjoy. Last but certainly not least is Provision Company the most amazing place to have seafood on the water in southport, I recommend going early as it does get pretty packed but so worth it the crab cakes are to die for and the view overlooking the ocean is stunning.
Gatlinburg, Tennessee I could not say enough about this place the area is beautiful overlooking the mountains, seeing the black bears, eating at the local restaurants and taking part in trying the different varieties of moonshine to start off your vacation. If you have kids there is a ski resort as well as amusement park, aquarium, water park, ropes courses and so much more and it definitely makes for the perfect family filled vacation.
West Coast Vacations:
If you are on the West Coast in California there are tons of beautiful places to see one of the best places to see is Little Italy in San Diego. It has one of the largest farmer's markets in San Diego County with 200+ vendors. While visiting in Little Italy you will be immersed in the Italian culture with tons of Dining spots in the area as well as shops and entertainment which makes for the perfect date night spot.
Also, on the west coast is of course the Hollywood Walk of Fame and getting a tour bus to go sightseeing of Celebrity homes, work and even seeing them out and about is worth it although it is wise to keep in mind since the pandemic started there have been more homeless people and it was an unfortunate thing to witness while walking and driving around this area. It's all glitz and glam until it's not anymore.
Disneyland, California is a MUST see, it was the first park Walt Disney himself created. My breathe was taken away when I visited for the first time and still each time I go, it is filled with history so much so that you can see the office of Walt Disney overlooking the park and they keep a light on as if he was still there. If you are a Disney lover or have kids this is a definite go to and well worth it.
