Health and beauty: The things I live by more so now that I am getting older and you have to have a routine and often times change the routine depending on your diet, new area and your age. Let me walk you through the top 3 things your should invest in your life.
My number one for life will be Skincare, your skin goes through a lot with the environment, makeup, genetics, stress and so much more. Everyone's skin is different so we have to care for it differently, if your are just beginning find what your skin type is (Oily, Dry or Combination). Never go cheap on skin care because that will screw you up more than anything, know the ingredients of the product you are wanting to use also. For myself I have changed my skincare routine a lot either due to move or because I wanted better products for the environment and for my skin. My top 2 brands for skincare is Glow Recipe which is an all natural, cruelty-free, vegan, sulfate and parabon free product, not only is this not harsh on your skin and works but it smells amazing too. The products I use from this brand is the Watermelon Glow Sleep Mask- which you can use overnight or use as a peel off mask. The next is the Pineapple C-bright serum to give you that extra brightness and glow. Let me tell you my skin has never felt better.
The next skin-care brand would be PCA Skin this is where I started when I first got a facial and improved my acne I was getting on my cheeks which I had never had before but it was due to not removing my makeup well at night and the stress of working full-time. The first product I used was the "Facial Cleanser" and it was amazing and I used it with the "Acne Gel Serum" I would put on the serum mainly on my problem areas and the "Clear Skin Moisturizer" after that was my routine for about 2 years and I know I'll go back but without the acne gel because it has improved drastically. Are these products reasonably priced or more on the higher end? Yes, but it is so worth it this is the main thing you should invest in before anything else.
My second thing you should invest in is Hair care, whether it's the products you use or the stylist you see do not go cheap or you will do more harm than good. First things first is what product(s) you use to wash your hair, I never had real good guidance on what to use on my hair especially ones for my hair type and concerns. I get my hair colored and struggle with dry/split ends so when I took a job opportunity as just a receptionist at an Upscale salon in Charlotte,NC I jumped at the chance and loved every minute of it and learned so much. The Brand that works best for me is the Shu Uemura Line, I switch products depending on what I need but always stick to this line. One of the main products I use is the "Color Lustre Cool Shades reviving hair balm" it's a deep purple conditioner for the blonde I get in my hair and keeps it at a cool tone which I love instead of the brass. The other products I alternate from is the "Ultimate Reset collection" to help with those damaged pieces of the hair to help restore it's fibers from the coloring and heat damaging I am doing and if I'm not using that I use the "Urban Moisture Collection" to help nourish my dry hair and give it that glow.

Last but not least is Health, always invest in your physical and mental health because without that you will be miserable and unhealthy with not the best habits. Pick up a routine for your everyday life, whether it's a 15 min workout, meal prepping or going to some sort of meditation/counseling session. Do it for you and nobody else because you are your number one priority. I found yoga on YouTube for FREE because who doesn't love free and then I invested in what I needed for that. See what works for you but don't let everyday life rule you always make yourself a priority and everything else will follow.
All good advice. As I have grown older I have realized how important all of this is to staying healthy. My husband and I try to walk in the evenings around our pond. We also have a dvd for stretching exercises that we try to do at least a few times a week. We stay active outside and in our workshop. Creating things, seeing ideas become items to share is very rewarding.
